Excursions in Val Gardena

Excursions in Val Gardena are extraordinary experiences both in summer and winter, on foot or with snowshoes on, alone or accompanied by a local hiking guide. The evergreen forests, whitened by snow during the winter season, and the mountain air will give you peace and quality time for yourself.

We always reccomend two excursions to our beloved guests: the Sassolungo Tour and Puez.

The excursion starts from the Passo Sella and continues along the legendary Friedrich August path. You need to cross the steep fields of the southern slope of the Sassolungo and then continue climbing up to Piz da Uridl. After reaching the Ciaulong fork, you can return back to Passo Sella easily.

Duration: 6 hours.

The excursion starts from the Danterceppies station. Follow the road to the base of the Cir. You can reach the Cir pass from the Jimmy refuge, passing between rocky crags and small peaks. From the basin of the lake walk until you reach the north side, along the karst formations up to Ciampac fork, then - along the Plateau Gardenazza - you arrive to the refuge. Descend through the Vallunga, along the steep path number 14th. An easy trail then leads you to Selva Gardena.

Duration: 5 hours
